Imagine stepping into your room and being bathed in the sacred, warm pink glow of a Colorado winter sunset.
Buffalo and Red Mountains in Winter fills your home with the deep, comforting soul of a mountain valley. The soft rose-pink sky and luminous snowpack cast a gentle, cozy radiance across the entire space, transforming your wall into a wide-open deck overlooking the Gore Range. Look closely, and you'll discover meaningful "easter eggs"—real-life geographic coordinates, whispers of conservation, and nods to the iconic Silver Couloir—making this canvas an engaging, heart-centered focal point that brings true mountain warmth directly into your daily routine.
Living with Buffalo and Red Mountains in Winter is a daily homecoming—a soothing, grounding touchstone that wraps you in the quiet comfort of sanctuary.
As you pause in front of this canvas, the tender sunset tones and snow-packed ridges invite an immediate sense of peace, nostalgic warmth, and hopeful anticipation for bright adventures ahead. It acts as an inner anchor, reminding you to hold tight to the places and memories that feel like home, to protect the sacred wild spaces we love, and to cherish that unmistakable, soul-filling ache of belonging.

Howdy! I’m Caley Van Cleave a Colorado-based artist, lifelong rambler, and a self-proclaimed color maximalist. Inspired by the vastness of the American West, I take sketches and memories from my outdoor adventures and dial up the intensity—bringing the hidden purples of a sunrise snowbank and the electric joy of the wild straight to the canvas.
From my home base at 9,000 feet in Silverthorne, CO, or out on the road in my Airstream, I paint to capture the emotional impact of rugged mountain sunshine and red clay canyons. If it’s bright, bold, and celebrates our stunning natural world, I’m enamored by it.
You won’t find any beige here. I bring the ridiculous, joyful color combinations of our wild spaces directly to the canvas so you can celebrate a world of beautiful, vibrant adventure right in your own space.
